Deck building hints, tips, and concepts
This week, beating your opponent Old Testament style.

The Wrath Of God

by Grubtor Steelheart

While playing, I suffered more and more defeats than I used to. I thought I would have more success if I were God, if I could simply will my opponent's cards out of existance, leaving myself to dominate the game. Of course, I can't be God, but I can sure try to build a deck with that sort of power!

While trading, I encountered cards like Luminous AI, Corporate Plunder, Meme Reset, and Offsite Conference, and I began to understand them for the first time. Sure, I've seen them around, but I've never seen them in use. I understood that these are powerful cards, but they also affect your own deck. If you could find a way to eliminate the disadvantage for yourself, that would be... godlike.

Wiping The Slate Clean

You're the lucky guy to draw cards quickly, having planned for this scenario.
Here's the deal: After you use a card like Meme Reset, which forces each player to discard his or her hand, you can use Luminous AI to draw cards real fast. It'll cost you CyberOps at the end of your turn, but that's where Corporate Plunder comes in. Your opponent will lose his precious resources while you already have lost yours anyway. You can use ICBM to wipe out everything, leaving you both with no cards, no assets, and no resources. Of course, you're the lucky guy to draw cards quickly, having planned for this scenario.

This is where the resource management comes in. You're going to need lots of Covert and CyberOps. You can use Build Site for both the Luminous AI and for Scavenger Gang. Emergency Funds are extremely useful because you will often be without resources. You can use Eminent Domain and Protein Synthesis Lab to get the needed CyberOps. Of course, you still need a great deal of Covert, but you can get this by using Covert Ops Contracts and UN Intelligence Centers (which will undoubtedly work).

While you drain his resources (which are vital in most Pacifica decks), you quickly get cards with Dresdner Operatives and Hasaku Factory (4 CyberOps). I recommend deploying Hasaku PA and then moving it to ES3 to get cards.

And God Created Monkeys...

After all is said and done, you will need to destroy their Headquarters.
After all is said and done, you will need to destroy their Headquarters. This will go smoothly with Sim Lords, because your opponent has no assets, resources, or bases. You can use Ceremonial Sabres to help you. Worker Sims will keep coming until you have eight, again because your foe doesn't have any cards.

Then, when your Worker Sims are swarming over and crushing the enemy's Headquarters, supreme victory at hand, he will have truly met his match. You will have become God.

Revelations

It's a waste to leave such potential unused.
I felt like writing this article because I saw the potential of cards like Meme Reset and Corporate Plunder, but I have never played them. It's a waste to leave such potential unused, so I hope more people will start using powerful, (but more to the point) cool cards like this.

I don't know whether this deck could really work, but I sure hope it will give inspiration to those who CAN make it work!
