  Obituary James A. Walter
  the son of Daniel and Martha (Fried) Walter, went to be with his Lord
  and Savior on Sept. 5, 1996, after several years of declining health.
  "Jim" was born on the snowy morning of October 27, 1933. He
  attended Elysian Elementary School and graduated from Billings Senior
  High School. During high school Jim was active in Future Farmers of
  America and later in life was an active member of the Gideons
  International Ministries.
  Jim married Eloise L. Grace in 1954. Together they raised a son,
  Jerry of Billings, and a daughter Linda of Calvert, Texas, on the family
  farm where Jim was raised, lived, farmed and died. In Jim's last years,
  he enjoyed watching others farm the ground he was no longer able to
  work. A farmer and a man of faith to the end.
  Jim was preceded in death by his father and a brother Ivan of
  Billings. Jim is survived by his wife, Eloise; son Jerry, and daughter
  Linda; his mother Martha of Billings;,his sister Doris Yost of Everson,
  WA; and his half-brother Donald Walter of Blaine, WA.
  Services will be at Smith West Chapel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept.
  11. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Interment at Mountview
  Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box
  20024, Billings, MT 59104
